My husband and I are really excited to tell you about a fabulous place to stay located in Cedar City Utah! It's called Amid Summer's Inn Bed and Breakfast. This is the perfect place for that getaway you have been wanting to escape away to!

First, let me introduce you to the fantastic innkeepers Gary and Charlene!

Gary and Charlene have been interior designers for the past 38 years. Gary's exquisite workmanship shows throughout the Inn with beautiful marble, stone, granite, and tile creations. Special attention has gone into decorating each individual room. Charlene's love for design shows as each room takes on a distinctive personality and flavor. Having owned a cake and candy store, Charlene enjoys making specialty candies in her spare time while she and Gary delight in creating new dishes for their guests.

Their passion and desire is to have their guests enjoy a memorable experience in the elegance of an earlier era. They are amazing and made sure our stay was peaceful and relaxing!

Next, let me tell you a little about this spectacular inn...

Amid Summer's Inn Bed and Breakfast is a lovely 6000 square foot  Historic English Tudor with romantic decor. It sits on a quiet, old-fashioned, tree-lined street, two doors from a gourmet restaurant and one and one half blocks from the Tony Award-Winning Utah Shakespearean Festival. It is also centrally located between Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks Monument National Park, Kolob Canyon, Parowan Gap Petroglyphs, Kanarraville water falls, and Brian Head Ski Resort.

First, we entered the parlor... (you can click on the pictures to see them larger)

It features an original Rococo sofa and chairs dating from the 1800's. Wow, what a great first impression of the Inn this room gives you as you enter it!

We stayed in the Windsor Castle room...

We love the gorgeous bedding, it is so elegant...

The jetted tub and large roomy shower were also awesome!

The bed was not only beautiful but it was also extra comfortable! I loved the original paintings and decor throughout our room. The towels were heavenly soft and they smelled so nice and fresh. Our room had a nice TV and soft chairs to sit in while we visited with each other. Everything was perfect in our amazing room and we loved it!

In the morning we had the best breakfast ever in their elegant, formal dining room...

We woke up to a wonderful smelling breakfast which Gary and Charlene are famous for! Our gourmet breakfast feast included a very yummy quiche, seasoned potatoes, bacon drizzled with maple syrup, fresh fruit bowl, yogurt, granola, homemade pastries, and homemade orange juice. Everything was really delicious, and we loved it!

The incredible innkeepers let me share their guests most requested recipe with each one of my lucky readers...

Three Cheese Crust-less Quiche

1/4 cup butter, 1/2 cup flour, 1 cup cream or milk, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 teaspoon mustard, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, 6 large eggs, 1 (3 oz.) package softened cream cheese, 2 cups cottage cheese, 1 lb. cubed Monterey Jack cheese.

Melt butter, add flour until smooth consistency. Beat cream or milk, baking powder, salt, sugar, dry mustard, nutmeg, eggs, and cheeses. Add butter and flour mixture. Stir until well blended. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish that has been sprayed with non stick cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees. Prep Time: 1/2 hour Cook Time: 60 minutes
