Jack Black (Kung Fu Panda, School of Rock) brings his irreverent humor to this adventure-comedy based on the classic tale. To impress the pretty newspaper travel editor Darcy (Amanda Peet, 2012), an underachieving mailroom clerk named Gulliver (Black) takes a writing assignment traveling to Bermuda. When a shipwreck lands him on the fantastical island of Lilliput, he transforms into a giant — in size and ego! 

Gulliver’s tall tales and heroic deeds win the hearts of the tiny Lilliputians, but when he loses it all and puts his newfound friends in peril, Gulliver must find a way to undo the damage. Through it all, Gulliver may just learn that it’s how big you are on the inside that counts.  

GULLIVER’S TRAVELS also stars Jason Segel (I Love You, Man), Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada), Amanda Peet (Something’s Gotta Give) and Chris O’Dowd (Dinner for Schmucks).

We love Jack Black and he is hilarious in Gulliver's Travels. This movie has so many funny parts! We liked when Gulliver is in Lilliput and there is another army coming to attack Lilliput, he walks out in the Ocean to stop the attack. They all shoot their cannons at him and all the cannon balls bounce off his fat and shoot back at the boats, then he grabs all the boats and drags them back out to sea. 

 

The people of Lilliput are really good builders so Gulliver has them build their city to look like New York. Then when they find out Gulliver lied to them they cast him out to another Island where Gulliver is the little person and there is a girl that is a giant and treats him like her doll. She puts a dress on him and makes him have tea time with her. This scene had us laughing so hard. This is a good movie that everyone will enjoy. 

 

The Blu-ray has a ton of cool special features. I like going behind the scenes and watching how they filmed the movie and seeing the cast all goofing off during their down time.
